Anderson Separators

Exhaust Heads — Models CEH & EH

Anderson Exhaust Heads are designed for use on steam exhaust lines, pressure relief valve outlets, and safety valve discharge piping. The centrifugal action of the exhaust head removes entrained moisture from exhaust steam before it enters the atmosphere or condensate return system, preventing water hammer and protecting downstream equipment.

Anderson Exhaust Heads are available in cast iron (Model CEH) and steel (Model EH) construction to meet a wide range of pressure and temperature requirements. All units are designed and fabricated to ASME Code standards.

Available Models

Model CEH

Cast iron exhaust head for steam and condensate service. Centrifugal separation removes entrained moisture from exhaust steam before it enters the atmosphere or condensate return system.

Model EH

Steel exhaust head for higher pressure applications. Designed for use on steam exhaust lines, pressure relief valve outlets, and safety valve discharge piping.

Typical Applications

  • Steam exhaust lines — boilers, turbines, and process equipment
  • Pressure relief valve and safety valve discharge piping
  • Condensate return systems — prevents water hammer
  • Atmospheric exhaust vents on steam systems
  • Flash steam recovery systems
  • Low-pressure steam distribution headers
