Armored Level Gages

Series 300L · L10 · 20 · 32 · 40 · 51 · Pressures to 5000 PSI

Jerguson reflex and transparent armored level gages

One of the simplest techniques for indicating liquid level is by means of a direct reading device with which the level can be seen visually. Jerguson® is recognized worldwide as the leading manufacturer of liquid level gage glass assemblies, with over 90 years of experience and more than 100,000 special designs developed to meet customer needs.

Transparent Gage

Best for caustic/acidic fluids, dirty materials, high-pressure steam, and applications requiring rear illumination. Mica lining available for protection.

Reflex Gage

Best for clean, colorless, non-viscous, non-corrosive fluids including light and heavy hydrocarbons. Special optical properties create sharp demarcation at liquid level.

Gage Series

Series 300L

Series 300L

Up to 750 PSI @ 100°F (CS) / 720 PSI @ 100°F (SS)

Standard construction includes a solid one-piece chamber machined from bar, bar stock covers, tempered glass, steel bolts and nuts. Available in carbon steel (A696 C) or stainless steel (A511 316LSS) chambers. Full ANSI 300# pressure class rating to 600°F. Replaces the older Series 12 and Series 5 gages.

Low-to-medium pressure applications; replaces Series 12 / Series 5

Series L10

Series L10

Low Pressure — Large Chamber

Designed to give accurate liquid level readings of liquids that have a tendency to surge or boil. Highly effective in reducing boiling effects of entrained gas released under lowered pressure, liquid vaporization at critical low pressure, and boiling caused by temperatures exceeding the boiling point. Non-frosting unit available for liquids with unusually low boiling points.

For boiling or surging liquids; non-frosting unit available

Series 20

Series 20

Up to 3270 PSI @ 100°F / 2285 PSI @ 600°F

One-piece chamber machined from bar, forged steel covers, tempered glass, alloy steel bolts and nuts. Select reflex (prismatic) or transparent (clear) glass. Recessed gasket seats aid in positioning and retaining the gasket. Available in carbon steel, low temperature carbon steel (A350 LF2), and 316LSS. FM Approved.

FM Approved — medium-high pressure applications

Series 32

Series 32

Up to 4000 PSI @ 100°F

Solid one-piece chamber machined from bar, steel covers, tempered glass, alloy steel bolts and nuts. Features mid-span supports (tie-bars) for increased pressure ratings — recessed so there is no blind spot in the vision. Recessed gasket seats prevent gasket movement. ABS Certified. NACE MR0175 & MR0103 compliant.

High pressure applications; ABS Certified

Series 40

Series 40

Up to 5000 PSI @ 100°F

Heavy-duty high pressure gages available in both reflex and transparent types. Reflex gages assembled with a single plain glass for greater strength. One-piece liquid chamber machined from solid bar steel. Interchangeable sectional gage covers and glasses locked over the liquid chamber with special bolts and nuts. Recessed gasket seats provide a positively leakproof seal.

Heavy-duty high pressure applications

Series 51

Series 51

Up to 10,000 PSI @ 100°F

The Series 51 is a specially designed high pressure liquid level gage capable of withstanding pressures to 10,000 PSI. The one-piece chamber is machined from solid bar stock carbon steel or stainless steel, drilled lengthwise and crosswise at each port with tie-bars left in between to resist deflection under pressure. Viton® O-rings seal each port and are seated in recessed circular channels to assure proper seating. Available in transparent glass only. Conforms to BS3463, JIS B8211, and DIN 7081.

Transparent only — Viton O-ring seals — one-piece bar stock chamber

Weld Pad Gages

Jerguson weld pad level gage

Used where conventional gage and valve construction is impractical because of solid matter in suspension, conditions where thermal error caused by piping to a gage glass cannot be tolerated, or where space requirements suggest their use. Includes applications involving high vibration, highly viscous liquids, or liquids with considerable amounts of solids. Because there are no nipples through which the process liquid enters the gage, clogging potential is eliminated. Available in flat or radius weld pad configurations.

EPL-100® LED Illuminator

Jerguson's flat glass LED illuminator backlighting unit provides brilliant illumination of the process level with a maintenance-free bulb life of over 10 years. Pays for itself in less than two years through maintenance and electricity savings. Covers up to four gage sections — surpassing the length limitations of current wedge or fiber optic illuminators. Allows use of a single illuminator and power supply for the majority of level gage applications.
