PEECO Explosion Proof Flow Switches

PEECO explosion proof flow switches are certified for use in hazardous (classified) locations where flammable gases, vapors, or combustible dusts may be present. The same proven PEECO flow-actuated mechanism is housed in a NEMA 7/9 explosion proof enclosure that contains any internal ignition and prevents propagation to the surrounding atmosphere.

Rated Class I, Division 1, Group D — built for hazardous environments where flammable gases or vapors demand the highest level of protection. Each switch is custom-engineered for the application — fluid, pipe size, pressure, temperature, and electrical requirements are specified at time of order.

Class I, Division 2 — Flammable Gases & Vapors (Abnormal)

Locations where flammable gases or vapors are handled, processed, or used, but are normally in closed containers or systems. Groups A, B, C, D.

Mounting Styles

Screwed (NPT) Model EP-S

Standard threaded connection for most pipe sizes. 1/4" to 4" NPT.

Flanged Model EP-F

ANSI 150# or 300# flanged for larger pipe sizes and higher-pressure applications.

Tee Mounting Model ET

Switch mounts in a standard pipe tee — no special fittings required.

Wafer Style Model ET-F

Sandwiched between flanges for compact installation in tight spaces.

Welded

Weld-in mounting for permanent installation or high-vibration service.
