Sight Flow Indicators

Standard Jacoby Tarbox Sight Flow Indicators can be specified to accommodate very specific application requirements.  Special Jacoby Tarbox Sight Flow Indicators can be designed and manufactured to meet unique installation, processing or flow criteria.

Specifiers may choose from a wide range of Sight Flow Indicators' body materials, gasket materials, glass types and window designs, plus special corrosion-resistant lined indicators.

Available in 150psi -  300psi - 600psi  ANSI Class Configurations
Connections per ANSI B16.5, B16.24, and B16.1
Tempered borosilicate glass.
Units are machined and assembled in an ISO-9001 fully automated facility.
Carbon steel units meet NACE MR-01-75 requirements.
High Temperature (1000ºF) finish on steel retainers and bodies.
Stainless steel engraved identification faceplate.
Standard fasteners per ASTM A354 and ASTM A194 complying with most piping specifications.
 

Indicator Options

Plain : Model 910-FA-NF
These Sight Flow Indicators  are bi-directional and may be placed in any orientation.  Used primarily in processes where spot indication is desired to detect presence of media, or to inspect color, clarity, turbidity, or other critical characteristics. See Picture
Flapper: Model 910-FA
This Sight Flow Indicator employs a 316SS hinged wheel weighted flapper to indicate flow media.  The velocity of the flow is indicated by the position of the flapper (see picture of indicator). Uni-directional, these units are optimal for horizontal or vertically upward flows. See Picture
 
DripTube: Model 608-FA
Low, intermittent flows are easily detected with this Uni-directional style in the horizontal or vertically downwards direction.  The drip tube (see picture of indicator) forces the process to collect on the lower lip of the 316SS tube, allowing it to visibly drip downward. See Picture
 
Flutter: Model 910-FA-FLTR  The TFE flutter allows for easy Uni-directional indication of low flowing gases and liquids.   The thin, ribbon (see picture of indicator) type flutter curls into the pipeline, vibrating at the slightest presence of gas or liquid movement.  The flow of the media is indicated by the intensity of the fluttering against the window of the unit.
 
Rotor: Model 935-FA

Dimensionally interchangeable with our flapper, plain, drip and flutter models. The speed of the rotor indicates the relative velocity of the media.  Ideal for opaque liquids or heavy gases for an easily contrasting detection at far  viewing distances.  Extra durable stainless steel rotors are available as an option. Extra durable stainless steel rotors are available as an option.  This new Sight Flow Indicator model dimensionally matches the models 910-FA, 910-FA-NF, & 608-FA

NOTE: The Rotor now used in our Model 300-S, 960-FA & 935-FA is an improvement over the original rotor particularly in low flow applications.  The NEW rotor is made up of individual pieces in lieu of the assembled unit provided in the past.  The individual blades are flat and are more sensitive to the passing fluid.  Existing units can be upgrade via a special "stepped" pin that mates with the larger hole.
